It was in the month of Cheshvan that the Great Flood began and also ended the following year. It was a time of new beginnings and when God gave the promise in the rainbow. The Torah reading for this month includes the story in Genesis 6:9-11:32.

Noah’s name begins with the Nun (“Noon”) and ends with the Hey.  In Hebrew his name “Noach” means “Rest”

8th Month: New beginning, new birth, abounds in strength, circumcision, resurrection, to make fat.

HEBRAIC ALPHABET: NUN or “Noon” symbolizes the Messiah. Means fish, to sprout, to spread, to continue. The letter Nun is used for the number 50, the Day of Pentecost, 50 days after Passover when God brought new life through the law at Mt Sinai and the Holy Spirit in Jerusalem. (It is the fourteenth letter in the Hebrew alphabet).

RAHAB  As our example, Rahab was given a promise that connected to her alignment. Rahab’s choice brought a new beginning for her and her family.

THEME: Rahab positioned herself with truth, believed the promise rahaband saved her household. The “scarlet cord” hanging outside her window showed she had made covenant with the God of the Hebrews. When the army saw it, Rahab and her family lives were spared. So it is with us, as we apply the scarlet blood of Yeshua (Jesus) by receiving forgiveness by His shed blood on the cross, it brings us life! This is a month to believe for the salvation and deliverance also for your family, for there is a special anointing for it! Rahab made a hard choice, that I am sure was painful but right. She did not get offended that the spies were there or that her city was being attacked. She agreed with truth, chose to be strong and grow deep roots. The lineage of Jesus Christ the Messiah came through her that affected all generations. The decisions we make today are long lasting!

SCRIPTURES: Joshua 2 and Joshua 6.
TRIBE: Manasseh (“One who makes to forget, leap up and away.”) it can also mean “One who lets you forget the sufferings of the father’s house, replacement, substitute.) The spirit of Manasseh is the ability to forgive and not hold a grudge.

The symbol of this tribe is the Royal Palm Tree which is the most beautiful out of 3,000 to 4,000 species. The root is often the same height of the tree. The anointing on this tribe is to get deep roots down so that you are not moved by circumstances and can show the beauty of the Lord.

The Palm is the Central branch in the Lulav which is used during the Fall Feast of Tabernacles.  It represents God the Father.  See More Here!

The palms were also used by the masses to praise Jesus as the Messiah as He rode the donkey into Jerusalem prior to His death.

STONE/COLOR: Onyx (same as the tribe of Ephraim). The most Black_Onyxcommon color in the Onyx is black, though onyx comes in several colors. Onyx is a stripped agate which white layers alternate. This is shown beautifully with the cameo in either black, brown or red. The cameo is a combination of the creation of God and the creative expression of man. Black can represent: moved with passion, midnight hour, elegance, wealth and style. It can also mean affliction, wickedness, famine and evil.

GATE: Lion’s Gate

ISRAELI CITIES & NATIONS: Israel: Qiryat Shmona, Caesarea Philippi (Banias) (temple of the god of Pan at foot of Mt Hermon. This is where Yeshua said the “gates of Hell would not prevail”. Repent for generations past who opened the gates through perversion, abortion, idolatry and injustice not only here but in the other nations represented by this gate. Nations: Japan, North and South Korea, China, Mongolia, Iran, Iraq and Jordan.
PRAYER FOCUS: That the revelation of who Yeshua (Jesus) is will be manifested (Matt 16:13-19) and Hell cannot prevail. Pray for persecuted Christians!

ACTS OF KINDNESS: Pray for those who are weary, encourage them!
