Hebraic Month: Sivan
Featured Bible Character: Mary, Mother of Jesus

3rd Month: Three means Holy Trinity; perfect witness and testimony; union, completeness, approval; fullness, kindness; Godhead; Noah’s three sons; Jesus’ ministry; Jonah in the belly of fish; cross and resurrection; Peter’s denial; time (past, present, future).

Appointed Times: The close of “Counting of the Omer”; Shavuot (Giving of the Torah) is also known as Pentecost, Shavuot means “Weeks” that occurs on the six day of the Hebrew month of Sivan.

Shavuot commemorates the anniversary of the day God gave the Torah to the entire nation of Israel assembled at Mount Sinai. It marks the conclusion of the “Counting of the Omer”,-counting of each of the forty-nine days between Passover and Shavuot. Shavuot or Pentecost lands on the 50th day after Passover. 50 is the number of Jubilee, deliverance and freedom. Pentecost happened 50 days after Yeshua’s resurrection and was when the Father sent the Holy Spirit as promised in the book of Acts.

We celebrated on May 13, 2018 a historical event of the 70th anniversary of Israel being a state. I also marked the day the United States moved our embassy to Jerusalem as the first nation to recognize it should not be in Tele Aviv, agreeing with Israel and God! Sivan 5778 begins with Jerusalem being the capital of Israel. It is the first time in 3000 years when King David declared it! There was a lot of unrest with the Muslims in Israel and Palestine, but great joy throughout the land who has a heart for Israel.

Ramadan is also observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting to commemorate, what they believe, the first revelation of Quran to Muhammad. (This covers the month of Sivan falling on May 15-June 14.) Observances: Fasting of food and liquids during the day until sundown daily, zakath (alms giving), prayers, reading the Quran, “Abstaining from all bad deeds and staying humble”. The Muslims are faithful in their prayers and fasting releasing much into the 2nd heaven. We need to be on our guard and be faithful in our commitment to the true and living God. (if you want to know what is powerful in the Kingdom, look to see what the enemy wants to rip off or pervert! There is power in the Word of God, prayer and fasting…Let’s redeem it!)

Example: We honor Mary, the Mother of Jesus this month, as she carried and birthed the Living Word (or Torah). Jesus represented the Holy Trinity here on Earth and was the perfect witness of Heaven.

Theme: Mary’s anointing of her heart: We are honoring Mary, the mother of Jesus this month, as she carried the Bread of Life and the Living Word within her. After Jesus rose from the dead, He sent the Holy Spirit at Pentecost in which Mary was a part of that gathering.

Mary was single when she received the Word of God to accept the Divine seed within her. According to history, Mary was a widow when Jesus performed His first recorded miracle at the wedding. Jesus last act on the cross was to present the widow to the church she He put Mary into the safe keeping of John, (instead of James or one of His earthly brothers.) Then He said “It is finished” or “completed”. The church needs the widow’s prayers and the widow needs the church’s covering to be complete. Jesus thought so!

There is an anointing of the heart of Mary we can move into where we can trust Him in a deeper way and carry His Word within us to bring life. Ask Him for His Divine Word for your situation.

Hebraic Alphabet: Zayin “receiving mercy for completion”. (Picture of weapon, “cut, to cut off” to bring victory.) See mercy as a weapon that cuts off strife. James 3:13-18. The letter Zayin begins words in Hebrew such as “time”, “remember”, and “remembrance”. The memory of time brings about self identity n line with our Creator. The word picture of the letter Zayin is an ax or weapon representing the Word of God that helps us remember truth and will cut away what is false if we allow it. Its His mercy that reveals what needs to be cut away of the flesh! This is a month to allow His surgery to heal and complete us so we can be what we were created to be! It is a month to use our weapons to see others set free.

Prayer Focus: Bethlehem, Israel, (presently in the Palestine territory) is a region of royal births as well as a targeted place for the enemy to try to t stop God’s purposes. It is the site of Benjamin’s birth and yet the death of his mother, Rachel. It was the place of David’s birth and yet Saul’s efforts to kill him. Jesus’ birth took place here and Herod’s vicious attempt to kill off anyone who would succeed his throne. It was here the Jew and Gentile came together with Ruth and Boaz to bring forth the royal line of David and the messiah. Samuel anointed David. The first Bible translation of the Old and New Testaments took place here in 387 to 420 by Jerome, who lived and worked in Bethlehem. There are many special anointings here and redemptive purposes to tap into as well as to be on our guard against the enemy’s attempt to interfere with our destinies. Pray for Bethlehem and those within the regional gate and nation gate. Align with Heaven for new birth to flow through this prayer gate. Pray that the Word of God would be released and the revelation of the Messiah received!
